BILLET E36 M3/328 DSSR SELECTOR ROD - 25111222738
This is a preorder item that will ship in about 1 month.
Introducing our Billet version E36 M3 DSSR. This DSSR is based on our very popular original welded version of our E36 M3/328 DSSR. Improvements include each end now being labeled, and machined with exact tolerance for your selector joint or shifter. Machined from 7075 Aluminum these are incredibly strong! To achieve the best overall shifter feel, we recommend pairing your DSSR with our Billet bearing selector joint found here.
This Billet DSSR is meant for BMW E36 models that came with an OEM selector rod part number 25111222738. This Billet DSSR is also commonly used in 24V Swapped E30s running a ZF (S5-31) 5-speed transmission out of the E36.
WHAT IS A DSSR?
It stands for double shear selector rod. A DSSR will spread the torsional force on both sides of the selector rod instead of the OEM selector rod which connects from one side only. The DSSR design is based on the concept of the E30 M3 DTM cars of legend! DSSR setups mean less play in the shifter, (decreases side-to-side motion), which creates a more precise and smooth shift every time. Now to the details.
Our DSSR is made from 7075 Aluminum. Please note: Compatible with OEM style shifters and our Garagistic short shifters (some shifters will need to be slightly filed down to fit).
Please note this DSSR is designed to be used with an OEM or Garagistic E36 BMW selector joint.
You can find both our shifters here: Garagistic Short Shifters
We recommend our Garagistic Selector Joint: Late Model Selector Joint
