BMW E30/E36 Group A DTM Gas Pedal - 35411118210, 35411158855
Overview
Garagistic E30 DTM-Style Gas Pedal – Group A Heritage, Modern CNC Precision
Born from motorsport pedigree and reborn for the modern driver, the Garagistic E30 DTM Gas Pedal is a faithful recreation of the original BMW Motorsport E30 M3 Group A/DTM throttle pedal—now re-engineered and refined for today’s street and track enthusiasts. E30 and E36 factory plastic pedals are known to fail. Fix it once and for all.
Features
- Authentic DTM Design: Reverse-engineered directly from an original BMW Group A pedal used in the legendary E30 M3 race cars.
- CNC-Precision Modernization: Made from a solid chunk of 6061 billet aluminum, this pedal is no stamped replica. We’ve enhanced the design by eliminating the slop in the lower hinge, adding bronze bushings for smooth, consistent actuation and long-term durability.
- Rod-End Actuation: Every movement feels tight and precise thanks to the use of rod-ends—no flex, no drama. Just razor-sharp throttle control.
- Install: Takes 20 minutes to install (fully reversible)
- Flexible Mounting: Mounts to the stock pedal bracket or use our optional lower bracket if you're chasing a custom setup (note: alternate mounting requires drilling into the chassis).
Fitment
-
Fits All E30 Models (Coupe, Sedan, M3)
- Fits All E36 Models (Coupe, Sedan, M3)
- Does Not Fit Drive by wire cars without serious modifications
This product pairs well with our E30 M3 Evo Dead Pedal, found here !
Installation
-
Step 1: Remove the Factory Pedal
- Remove the circlip at the top of the pedal.
- Using a flathead screwdriver or pick tool, release the clips at the bottom of the plastic pedal to free it from the lower metal bracket welded to the car.
-
Bracket styles:
- Early E30: Uses a female bracket (pedal sits inside).
- Late E30 & E36: Use a male bracket (pedal fits over it).
- Your new billet DTM pedal works with both bracket types. If your factory bracket is worn, rusted, or torn out, we also provide a billet replacement bracket that can be bolted in place of the original.
-
Step 2: Install the Bracket (OPTIONAL)
- Installing the billet bracket is straightforward but may require slight fine-tuning. Position the bracket where you want the new pedal to pivot from, drill into your floor and bolt the bracket down.
-
Step 3: Assemble the Pedal & Linkage
- Attach the linkage to the billet pedal using the two supplied button-head screws.
- Tip: Apply medium thread locker for security.
- For factory engine setups, adjust the gas pedal linkage to the shortest possible length to match the OEM linkage.
- For custom engine swaps, the adjustable linkage allows fine-tuning of throttle travel. An additional longer bolt is provided for extended adjustment if required.
- Slide the linkage onto the factory accelerator rod and secure it with the retaining clip.
- Insert the bottom mount of the pedal into the factory bracket.
- Using the stainless steel mounting plate and supplied screws, bolt down the lower connection point.
-
Step 4: Final Adjustment & Safety Check
- Slowly depress the pedal to full throttle (WOT).
- Verify that pedal travel does not exceed the mechanical stop of the throttle cable.
- IMPORTANT! If travel exceeds the stop, install a pedal stop to prevent stretching or damaging the cable.
- Install a pedal stop in the factory M8x1.25 threaded hole to prevent overstretching the throttle cable. (The billet pedal allows more travel than stock.)
