The Garagistic front and rear E46 strut bar combo are also sometimes referred to as a "stress bar". The motivation behind this design is simplicity. BMW had a simple strut bar design found on some OEM E46 models. It was as straight as a possible bar with no hinges. This simple but superior design was thought out in order to maximize reinforcement to the strut towers by linking them in unison without any "hinged" features in order to maximize chassis rigidity. Doing so in order to give the driver the ultimate steering feel and handling capabilities in order to offer better turn-in and more accurate steering input. This ensures that your suspension performs as intended and allows for noticeable improvements in cornering for your E46, especially under hard use. Although the E46 rear strut bar does not have as drastic an impact as the front, This combo includes an E46 rear strut bar as well.
Although not as notable as the front, the rear strut bar does have a noticeable effect on the rigidity and handling of an E46. Most notable under track or hard use conditions when both are used together. Both front and rear strut bars are made of steel and designed to fit on E46's with no prior collision damage. All E46 strut bars are available in multiple finishes including bare steel, red powder coat, black powder coat, or blue powder coat (custom colors are also available on request at additional cost).
Made in house at our Westminster, CA USA location. We do not accept returns on installed parts. Please note, every car has had a different life and the strut tower distance is never the same on two cars. Installing the bar may be easier when its safely lifted. We are not liable to damages.
