Matthew Ibrahim and Kris Valdez put on a fantastic race and the last TC race, Sonoma. This would be considered their "home track" considering its the only track in California currently ran in the tc series. Although this was Kris Valdez first wheel to wheel race at Sonoma, his pace allowed him to have the second fastest turn 7. Matthew Ibrahim also did well being the most consistent TC driver in lap time based on data. It was a strong pace he kept all race long. Matthew is no stranger to Sonoma. There is a YouTube series from his bimmer challange days. In that series there is an episode on how he pilots the infamous "just a 92" yellow Garagistic E36 at the Sonoma track. Episode can be found here . That very BMW would be the reason that Matthew and Kris partner up and start to compete together in the 2021 SRO TC season.
With a performance like Sonoma, looks like the Garagistic and DRS will be serious contenders for this year with the only m240irs on the field. It would be a poetic way to end the m240irs in the state side TC series. We wish them the best of luck!
