Well the first reason is that it was in the terms and conditions on checkout. However there is a better reason. Honest companies charge restocking fees for a very simple reason: to keep costs (and thus prices for you) down when dealing with the return of items that are not defective. There are a lot of costs associated with processing an order. If you buy something and then return it, there is more costs to handle the return.
All returns must be thoroughly inspected when received back at the warehouse to ensure they are in 100% resalable condition. New packaging materials usually need to be utilized because it is typically only designed to be used two times (initial use and possible return shipment). Time and materials involved inspecting, repackaging and restocking are not insignificant. The bottom line is restocking fees help keep prices low for you!
For this reason we do not accept returns on any used or previously installed products. We will not sell used products to our customers who are expecting brand new Garagistic parts. At times we may have to charge a higher restocking fee on a return if the parts are damaged during the return shipping. It is your responsibility to ensure the safe arrival of the parts you are returning to us. Thanks!
Finally, a rear strut bar that matches the caliber and finesse of the LTW front strut bar. The Garagisitc Billet E36 Rear Strut Bar combines modern design elements with tried and true fundamentals of chassis bracing to improve handling performance and increase chassis rigidity. The difference with and without strut bars can be felt immediately. Tune your chassis into becoming a handling monster.
Add the verticle braces to the rear strut bar and you are effectively further reinforcing the strut towers and bracing them to the critical points in your chassis' rear suspension. Similar to how professional roll cages tie the strut towers together with the mounting points of the subframe, this strut brace paired with the vertical braces introduces a significant degree of chassis stiffness and achieves tighter handling characteristics.
We recommend always using a little blue Loctite to make sure the bolts don't get loose! This is the version we recommend: https://amzn.to/3MWIUlO
Best paired with our E36 LTW Front Strut Bar available HERE
This rear strut bar design is inspired by the very rare US-only E36 M3 LTW. Following the same philosophy of shedding as much weight as possible to optimize the handling characteristics of the car, we made our LTW front and rear strut bars extremely light and stiff. By increasing chassis stiffness while keeping the car as light as possible, the LTW E36 M3s were able to perform at a high level even despite having less power than their European counterparts. Now you can have the rear LTW Garagistic rear strut bar to match the front!
Our LTW rear strut bars' modular design allows for two additional support bars to be added on which effectively add two extra points on the chassis to tie together with the rear strut towers. By bracing these 4 points on the chassis, you are able to achieve similar rigidity results as having a roll cage in the rear of your car. If you are looking for the ultimate rear strut bracing, then this is the option for you. Adding them to the main LTW rear strut bar is as simple as bolting them up. These additional support bars will be available to purchase separately soon.
