The Direct Mount Stage 2 and PRO Self Centering bolt solid to the chassis for a tight, precise shift. Direct Mount is billet aluminum on a flat plate that bolts into the three factory holes on the E92 and E82 (E30 and E36 need three holes drilled). PRO is 7075 aluminum with a tuned torsion spring that brings the lever back to center.

The OEM Supreme keeps the factory shifter carrier and rubber bushings, so you get a shorter throw you can adjust without the extra noise and vibration. Chassis mount shifters need stiffer engine and transmission mounts, so if you're keeping stock mounts, start with the Supreme.
