E30/E36 ADJUSTABLE TIE RODS (E46 CONTROL ARM VERSION)
In drifting, its common practice to use E46 control arms on your E30 or E36 to increase track width and Negative camber. This is usually done by using our E30/E36 conversion treehouse-style mounts that allow the use of E46 control arms. The problem is though, now you need longer tie rods because of your wider track! Well, we got your solution. Garagistic E30/E36 Bump steer adjustable front tie rod end kit for your E46 control arm conversion! These are extended for the E46 control arm application AND even allow the front outer tie rod end pivot to be relocated, which can be used to correct bump steer resulting from modified caster or lower arm geometry, making your car more predictable! "Bump steer" is when your steering wheel turns itself when one wheel hits and move up or down in a turn. This commonly happens in the middle of a turns on a lowered E36 and E30. Excessive bump steer increases tire wear and makes the vehicle more difficult to handle on rough roads. Our bump steer adjustment includes multiple size bump steer spacers for precise adjustment depending on your ride height to eliminate that problem. Sold as a pair (enough to do one car) and as always, Made in the USA! Our kit also includes the adjustable tie rods themselves which are INDESTRUCTIBLE. These WILL handle the abuse of racing and drifting. These are the beefiest units on the market today while still being lighter than OEM.
Made Precision CNC machined monster SOLID 1" Hex! Most units on the market today are made with 1" hollow round tubing with a small slot for adjustments. Our monster 1" hex shape allows for a 1" wrench to be placed anywhere on the rod to adjust! No more stripped slots! Fits all E30s and E36s with 17" or larger wheels. Some 16" wheels will clear but may require spacers. The installation will require a 29/64 hole in tapered thru-hole in the spindle. It just needs to be slightly enlarged to 1/2in to fully accommodate the bigger/beefier hardware. We recommend working in steps going from a 29/64 bit to a 1/2in bit slowly. E30s will require E36 inner tie rods. If you have already done the E36 steering rack swap with those inners then no modification is needed.
