This is the ultimate setup for your rear shifter bushing assembly in your E30, E28 or E34. This assembly is 100% bolt-on and is finished in stainless steel. We brought the world's first E30 poly rear shifter bushing to the market years ago (which we still sell). That bushing requires you to press in the bushing into your OEM rear carrier assembly ( 25111220556 or 25111220707). This setup replaces that whole assembly and includes a poly or Delrin insert inside! We are talking a 100% bolt up a solution with a lifetime warranty. That means never needing to replace it ever again setup!
This rear carrier assembly makes a MASSIVE difference in shifter tightness. This can eliminate up to 70% of slop without adding any noise to the cabin! Even when the rear carrier assembly was new the factory rubber floats with tons of shifter movement! Our rear Garagistic poly carrier bushings replace the original rubber bushing with a hard poly. On the shifter rod there "lips" what will need to be filed down to fit inside that TIGHT poly/Delrin insert.
If you are running rubber or poly transmission mounts, then select the poly insert. If you are running Delrin, you can run our Delrin or this poly rear carrier bushing. Those can be selected in the options list.
The reason for this is because the transmission and shifter cannot have different allowable movements. This will cause linkages to break, difficulty shifting, and other issues. We also offer a Delrin version of this bushing for people who run Delrin transmission bushings.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
