LTW E30 Modular 3 Piece Rear Strut Bar
Based on our full aluminum version, this Carbon version is for those who want the lightest e30 possible! Over twice as stiff as aluminum, these high modulus carbon fiber tubes resist bending!
The Garagistic Carbon LTW E30 Rear Strut Bar combines modern design elements with tried and true fundamentals from BMWs Classic LTW models. Using their philosophy we were able to make a chassis bracing to improve handling performance and increase chassis rigidity at the lightest weight possible!
Our LTW strut bar is meant to be "Modular". Meaning you can add to it later. For example, you can start with the straight bar and when you need a little more, you can add on the 4 points subframe system in the future. (All strut bars have the provisions so you can add the bracing at any time in the future.
Structural rigidity is further increased with the addition of vertical support bracing to the rear strut bar. This is effectively reinforcing the strut towers by bracing them to the critical points on the E30 chassis' rear suspension. The verticle supports are anchored to the rear subframes differential mounting points closest to the underside of the bodywork. We highly recommend installing our secondary diff mount kit available HERE in order to spread the load and forces evenly across the rear diff mounting point and further increase rigidity and improve handling performance

This rear strut bar design is inspired by the very rare US-only E36 M3 LTW. Following the same philosophy of shedding as much weight as possible to optimize the handling characteristics of the car, we made our LTW rear strut bars extremely light and stiff. By increasing chassis stiffness while keeping the car as light as possible. This was such a great part on the original LTW E36 that we made it for the rear on an e30!

- Design: Stainless steel ends act as rear shock reinforcements
- Adjustment: Modular ends allow for the installation of tower-to-base support bracing that ties the rear strut towers to critical points in your chassis' suspension. Because threads are inline with forces just like BMWs original design it also offers the most adjustment then anything else on the market,
- Modular: Add the additional 4 points bracing when you need it. All strut bars come with provisions to add to it at any time.
4 Point Chassis Bracing
Our LTW rear strut bars' modular design allows for two additional support bars to be added on which effectively add two extra points on the chassis to tie together with the rear strut towers. By bracing these 4 points on the chassis, you are able to achieve similar rigidity results as having a roll cage in the rear of your car. If you are looking for the ultimate rear strut bracing, then this is the option for you. Adding them to the main LTW rear strut bar is as simple as bolting them up. These additional support bars will be available to purchase separately soon.
This unit is adjustable to fit all E30s (except for convertible models). Whether your vehicle has been preserved in a showroom for the last 30 years or if it is a race car, this bar has the adjustability to fit.
