E46 330I/CI 6-Speed DSSR SELECTOR ROD - 25117523847

Introducing the Garagistic DSSR made specifically for your E46 330i/ci. This DSSR is meant for E46 models that have the selector rod part number 25117523847. This selector rod was found in 6 speed E46 330i and 330ci models (manual transmission only). This will only work in 330i/ci (03/2003+) cars and is also a great addition for a SPEC E46.

Please check that this is the correct part number found in your car before ordering. Don't forget to add our famous E46 shifter kit found here!

Got a setup that's a little different than OEM? You could always get the "Weld it yourself" Dssr found here.

It's a really good idea to change your transmission fluid while you are down there. We recommend this fluid: https://amzn.to/41KYOnn . One of these is also helpful when your doing it: https://amzn.to/3N3piN2

Dont forget to do the selector joint while you replace your dssr!

  • E30, E28, E24 with part number 25117503525 can be found here.
  • E36, E34, E39, E46, E60 etc with part number 25117580281 can be found here.
So what's a DSSR?

Well, it stands for double shear selector rod. A DSSR will spread the torsional force on both sides of the selector rod instead of the OEM piece which connects from one side only. Based on the concept of the E30 M3 DTM cars of legend! DSSR setups mean less play in the shifter, (decreases side to side motion). This means a more precise and smooth shift every time. Now to the details. Our DSSR is made of stainless steel and then tig welded right here in our shop in Westminster CA, USA.

EVERY DSSR KIT INCLUDES
  • Replacement for 25117523847 (03/2003+)
  • Necessary hardware
  • Stainless steel finish
  • Fully tig welded

DIY Bending Guide: How to Bend your DSSR for a perfect custom fit.

Instructions:

garagistic DSSR

Installation Instructions

Step 1: With a flat head screwdriver remove the locking clip by pushing on the inside lip of the clip to slide it off the selector rod on the shifter side on selector joint side.

Step 2: Wiggle and pull the selector rod until it's free on both ends. Pay attention to the bends of the selector rod and how it came off as it will be your guide on how to install the DSSR in the proper direction.

Step 3: Grab your garagistic DSSR and starting with the selector joint side first line up the holes on the DSSR with the selector joint. It should be a tight fit but if its too tight open the tabs a bit till you achieve proper fitment. Once aligned slide the provided pins in with a washer on each side followed by the c-clip to lock it in. Repeat on the shifter side.

Notice: Depending on what OEM shifter you have, you may have to shave down the sides of the shifter for the DSSR to fit.
